Long Way Home
ASIA-EUROPE SHORT STORY CONTEST
We are pleased to reveal that the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival is partnering with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) to launch its first online short story contest: Long Way Home, via the culture360.org platform. 
This initiative seeks to reinforce Asia-Europe exchanges and deepen mutual understanding between cultural communities in the two regions through creative storytelling based on travel experiences.The online contest aims to support emerging writers from ASEM member countries and unveil new talents in the literary field from both regions. In August, ten contestants will be shortlisted by renowned literary judges, after which one Australasian and one European winner will be chosen by members of the public on culture360.org.
Awards include individual cash prizes of SGD 1000 for each of the two winners, as well as travel and accommodation to attend the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival in Ubud, Bali in October 2013.
